Diary of a Positive Deviant tells the story of how after finding myself in a very low authority job and unfamiliar role at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, I independently, and subversively, developed expertise in the Positive Organizational Psychology principles for which the school is renowned. The engaging story offers examples and strategies that describe: how I used the principles to stretch the bounds of my role, push organizational norms, get happy in, contribute from and launch beyond my restricted role to influence organizational culture and find a rich sense of purpose.
