I am an imperfect child of God attempting to help kids avoid making the same mistakes I did. I grew up in the church, through I had a relationship with Christ, but then walked away as soon as things weren't going my way. I spent years struggling with severe mental illness, detrimental people pleasing, and abusing marijuana and alcohol to numb my feelings. I was trying to fill the void in my life with anything but Christ. Thankfully, God is good and pursues. He brought friends into my life that spoke Truth and encouraged me to attend church. In August of 2017, I stepped foot into church for the first time in years, with a heart ready to hear God out. I don't know what the pastor preached on that day, but I do know that God told me He loved me and asked me to come back to Him. That fall, I resubmitted my life to Christ. I realized I need Him to control my life, not me. Only He has all the knowledge and a perfect plan. Since coming back to Christ, He has placed a desire in my heart to help kids of all ages have a real, authentic relationship with Him.

I believe when we have a genuine relationship with God from a young age, we're able to put on His armor and stand firm when the devil tries to pull us away. We can help kids avoid making the same mistakes we did by pointing them to Christ. If you're looking for ways to connect with your kids, encourage their pursuit of Jesus, and have a Christ-centered household, please book me for your next event. I have served in Children's ministries for over 10 years, nanny, and lead a sixth grade small group at my Church. My experiences have taught me that not every child, adolescent, and teenager are excited by and about the same things. We need to meet them where they're at, just like Christ met each of us where we needed Him to. I can help you do just that with your kids and ministry.

It takes time, patience, and a whole lot of prayer to spend consistent, quality time with the Lord in prayer, His Word, and quiet time every day. God has been increasing this discipline in my own life over the past two years. He has pushed me to write a devotional for middlegrade age girls as well. I am not qualified to speak into the lives of parents without Christ. However, He has given me the gift of understanding the perspectives of kids and parents, so I can bring them together to glorify Him. I would love to come alongside you in your pursuit of a Christ-centered household!
