COASTCITY has been making noise since their inception the summer of 2017 garnering 2 Grammy nominations (one as artists and Jean for his engineering & vocal production work with Prince Royce & Shakira), 4 Latin Grammy nominations (1 as artists and 3 for their engineering / vocal production work) and placing a handful of songs that charted in the top 25 of the Latin Billboard charts in 2017 and 2018.
On the music side, the duo was invited to perform at major events such as: Opened up for Mexican Pop-Country duo Ha*Ash in Mexico's Auditorio Nacional for 2 consecutive SOLD OUT shows, Formula 1 in Miami (opened up for Silk City – Mark Ronson & Diplo), SXSW (BMI Showcase), J Balvin's Casa Buchanans Latin Grammys Party, Marc Anthony's Annual Maestro Cares Gala alongside Maluma, Miguel Cotto's last fight at Madison Square Garden to sing the Puerto Rican national anthem, and both Hispanicize conferences in Los Angeles and Miami.
In addition to making Pandora's prestigious 2018 Latin Artists to Watch list, the duo has continually landed placements with major media in both the Latin and general market spaces. All four of their singles released to date have been added to numerous playlists across all digital streaming platforms amassing millions of streams.
In addition, COASTCITY has been steady gigging at iconic venues such as The Echoplex (LA), The Roxy Theatre (LA), Rockwood Music Hall (NY), Levitt Pavillion (LA), Bayfront Park (Miami), and Speakeasy (Austin). The duo released their last single "Pa la Calle" feat. Luis Fonsi last year which amassed 1 Million views within 24 hours of its release. The collaboration was a historic one being that Fonsi is Jean's older brother and it was the first time in their careers they collaborated together!
