Mort Crim
Mort Crim has been a broadcast journalist for over thirty-five years. He is the creator and voice of the award-winning radio feature, "Second Thoughts," airing on more than 1200 radio stations worldwide. The 90-second motivational essays provide a positive perspective on a world persistently portrayed by the media as both negative and dangerous. After 35 years of covering the human condition, he still believes there's more good than bad in the world; more reason to hope than to despair. He concludes that "What's going on around us is never as important as what's going on inside us."
Crim draws his knowledge from a broadcasting career that has taken him from stations all the way from California to New York City. For five years he was national correspondent for ABC. His was the voice that described Neil Armstrong's landing on the moon for the national ABC radio audience. He was in Vietnam with President Lyndon Johnson and at Cape Canaveral for most of the Apollo moon voyages. He covered the Yom Kippur war in the Middle East.
Crim's books include: Good News for Tough Times, The Joy of Good News, How to Be as Terrific as Your Dog Thinks You Are!, Good News for a Change, and Second Thoughts: 100 Upbeat Messages For Beat-Up Americans.
