For over 25 years, Chris Coffey has been in the leadership development world and has worked with and coached hundreds of key leaders and successful people develop leadership to become even more effective.
Chris Coffey is a significant contributor to the methodology of feedback-based training and executive coaching. As one of the pioneers in this field since 1981, he brings his own distinctive common-sense approach to designing and conducting workshops in leadership, management, team-building, and influencing without authority.
Chris Coffey's coaching style is direct and well-defined around the Goldsmith Coaching Process he co-developed with Frank Wagner and Marshall Goldsmith. Chris co-developed the Goldsmith "Train the Coach" and "Manager as Coach" workshops.
Chris has coached leaders in Fortune 100, 500, 1000 companies, as well as in start-ups and not-for-profits, all with very diverse backgrounds, from the US, Europe, Asia and India. The common denominator for all the individuals Chris works with is, they are all successful, high-potential leaders whose organizations want to accelerate their development by having them work closely with a seasoned, leadership coach.
Chris Coffey started his career teaching Situational Leadership for Paul Hersey at the Center of Leadership Studies in the early 1980s. He worked with the consulting firm of Keilty Goldsmith, Boone and did leadership training at IBM, Warner Lambert, Coke, McKinsey and Company, Met Life, and GE and many more.
Chris Coffey is also on the faculty of UCLA's Technical Manager Program where he has lead workshops with top scientists, and has taught management and leadership courses at Gonzaga University.

My partner, Chris Coffey, is clearly one of the world's best speakers in the area of coaching. He provides a rare combination of being entertaining and dynamic while providing advice that is both practical and applicable. He is a person that I trust to lead the training process for our behavioral coaches!

Chris has a clear, systematic, proven coaching process that he uses with his clients. He sets clear expectations, draws on ALL experiences and resources to help his clients improve on the single development goal that matters, and builds the internal team interactions necessary for his clients to receive on-going support and course correction. Chris is disciplined and focused on how he applies the process, works to continuously improve it, and is very generous in his willingness to share and teach others in applying it.

I have worked with Chris Coffey in the Goldsmith year-long coaching process in the past year. I have found the process to be very beneficial. His support has been invaluable to me in my efforts to continue to grow my management skills and career. His candor and practical advice for how to best communicate with senior management has been particularly helpful. My goal was to use the situational leadership model with an eye towards delegating more to my staff.

In my experience, audiences - whether they be attending a Conference Board meeting or are an intact team - - respond best to a speaker who is enthusiastic. Chris Coffey is about the most enthusiastic presenter you will ever encounter. He is a subject matter expert who is also entertaining as a story teller and quick on his feet with answers to even tough questions. He is provocative and truthful about what he thinks and knows and admits what he does not. In other words, Chris Coffey is what audiences truly appreciate — he is authentic.
