Steve Eastmond
Steve Eastmond has inspired thousands over the years through one-on-one counseling as well as speaking to large audiences. His programs inspire self-reflection, accountability, and commitment to improve both personally and interpersonally. He helps participants to reframe adversity into opportunity, flaw into awe, and conflict into conversation.
Throughout his career in over 20 years of providing psychotherapy and speaking to diverse groups, Steve Eastmond has acquired a unique perspective about why and where people sit in their lives personally, professionally, and even culturally. Steve graduated in 2000 with a masters degree in clinical social work from Washington University in St. Louis, the number one school of social work in the country. Since then he has worked with terminally ill patients and their families in hospice, mentally ill patients with criminal charges on the forensic unit at the Utah State Hospital, and has provided individual and family counseling in his own private practice now for 20 years.
In addition to professional experience, Steve is an engaging storyteller and is relatable to the audience, sharing personal examples of inspiration and grit, such as his father's determination to continue to do amazing and beautiful artwork in spite of his blindness. Attendees will be touched, entertained, and truly moved to do better and to be better, and to not let adversity permanently bog them down.
Meshing motivation, inspiration, and humor into a tapestry of practical tools and principles, Mr. Eastmond has attendees laughing, crying, and then leaving the seminar determined to make permanent personal and professional changes for a more successful self. No flash-in-the-pan here! Steve believes, and teaches attendees, that once people truly understand their own place in relation to one another, they stop blaming others or waiting for someone else to make their world better, and start making real and lasting change happen themselves - one life at a time. Beginning with their own.
What you can anticipate from Steve Eastmond:
After a meeting with Steve, people are sure to leave feeling motivated to contribute rather than complain about work. You know you've hit the jackpot when attendees want to own and fix their stuff, and can recognize the very real truth that when change happens only in the workplace, it does not last. People who change only at work are just pretending. The change must be deep within the individual to be permanent. When we are better, we tend to make other people better. Mr. Eastmond understands that business leaders don't just want and need better employees - they want and need better people; individuals who have learned that truly successful people make other people successful.
