PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Roxy was born and bred in Kimberley in the Northern Cape (South Africa). She is one of six siblings. She matriculated at St Boniface Roman Catholic School in Kimberley. She did her tertiary education, studying personnel management at the then Cape Technikon (renamed to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology) in Cape Town South Africa. She acquired marketing and sales skills over ten years of working in the retail, building and tourism industries.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Roxy started her still ongoing journey of personal transformation in 1999 through international organisation Landmark Education (LE). Between 2000 and 2003 Roxy participated in LE's leadership programmes in the UK, after which she was accredited as an LE seminar leader. As part of her development she served on different levels in LE – see ACHIEVEMENTS below.
Faced with the challenge of HIV/Aids in the country, Roxy developed herself and trained as an HIV/Aids trainer and counsellor through a number of organisations, including the Christian Aids Bureau of South Africa (linked to World Vision), and People Management.
