MA, USMark's passion for MPI is highlighted by multiple years of committee work followed by 7 years of Board experience with positions in Education, Membership, and Finance. He had the distinct pleasure of becoming President of the New England Chapter and continues his active volunteerism to this day. Mark understands the complex nature of a volunteer organization, how each committee interacts with another, and how to assist Boards in discovering the best processes to create a strong Chapter.
Mark spent many years on the CVB and hotel side in both operations and sales, then made the jump to the planner side. In addition to site selection and contract negotiating Mark is also the meeting planner for a number of his clients, handling all aspect of meeting management.
He has also presented numerous conference education sessions to MPI, FICP, and other industry organizations on topics such as Contract Negotiating, Contracting 101, Negotiating in a Seller's Market, and Advanced Hotel Contracting. Mark is also working on an extensive project hoping to uncover the secrets of creativity in the meetings industry.
