My Journey and Why  Should Anyone Care

From a Mud Hut in Africa to Mansions in the San Francisco Bay Area

I left Cameroon at the age of 18 and headed to England where the government sent me to study Radio, Film and TV Production. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree and decided to pursue a Master's Degree in International Relations and Economics. I traveled to Taiwan after my Master's intending to live there only for a year. I ended up being there for 7 years. I wrote and published 3 books during my last 3 years on the island. My first book, Black in Taiwan, did particularly well, and made me a celebrity. My third book, Ten Reasons Why I Enjoyed Living in Taiwan, also sold out.

I moved to California in 2001. In 2002, I bought my first home: 475 Chablis Way, Manteca. a 2-story, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3-car garage single family home with a swimming pool. I bought it for $280,000 and I sold it to a neighbor across the street in 2004 for $400,000. No money out his pocket and $10,000 cash back from me at closing. The transaction was just between the 2 of us and we had a smooth escrow.

Even before I sold that home, I bought one in Newark, where I still live now for $535,000. A smaller 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the much coveted part of Newark, in the heart of the bay. My long commute was over. I bought this home with no money down and got back back at closing.

In April 2005, I got my real estate license and told a few friends about it. I bought a Mercedes Compressor and started taking friends out to lunch. Soon my phone was ringing off the hook as everyone wanted to buy real estate. (Watch my video story below). In November that year, I quit my program management position at Synnex Corporation here in Fremont, California and delved full-time into real estate. I thought it was the best thing that happened to mankind since sliced bread.

I had no mentors, so I did many things wrong, like buying every fixer upper. In 2007, the going started getting tough for me. Really tough and I thought of throwing in the towel. In 2008, however, I began to look at who the key players were and in later than year started getting REOs (i.e. bank-owned properties). In 2009, I was the top broker for Citi Mortgage in Northern California. Many agents signed up with my firm as my company (Pacific Realty Partners founded in 2007) grew. In 2010, I created a Meetup Group called TriCities Investors. LLC, whose goal was to buy one property a month. In 2011, I bumped into a gold mine: I had access to foreclosed properties from Wells Fargo and later Chase. These were not on the market but were exclusive to Community Development Fund, LLC. I was the owner of CDF III and my territory was Oakland. The mandate for this exclusivity was for us to buy these properties, fix them up and ell them to owner-occupants.

In 2012, I wrote and published my first book in the US, titled It's Impossible to be Poor in America. The book has been widely read and I have been featured on many media channels, including TV, Radio and famous business magazines such as Inc.  The book is divided into three sections. Section 1 talks about my defense of such an outrageous title. I am aware of the 43 million Americans who live below the poverty line. Section 2 is the core of the book and dwells on real estate and section 3 is my recipe for success irrespective of one's field of work.

My latest books: 1] The 4 Deadly Mistakes I Have Made As A Real Estate Investor and 2] Land Development: The New Gold, will be released before the end of September 2018. These books have already started generating a ton of interest even before they are out.

My hard work, experience,  expertise coupled with my charisma and passion have made me a much sought-after spearker. I have shared stages with industry leaders such as Robert Allen and Brian Tracy and have spoken to audiences across the United States, Canada and Taiwan both live and on TV and Radio.

Why Should Anyone Care to Listen to Me and Pay Me To Speak to Their People?

My story is extremely compelling and my Why is HUGE.  My audience should care that I come from very humble beginnings, from village in Africa. They should care because I am extremely bold, uber hardworking, and I am a very successful expert in the field of real estate. They should care because I have a very BIG heart and I am excessively giving (Take my books, for example). They should care because they will learn from me and be miles ahead of their peers. They should care because though I am still (STILL) not perfect, they can at least learn from my mistakes, which are also outlined in my book. They should care because me opting to be their mentor is my way of making them even more successful than myself. I genuinely care about their success and wellbeing, no matter who they are or where they are from.

Land Development: The New Gold

In the beginning... God created. Well, what has happened since then? In the beginning we had only Adam and Eve. Today, we have 7 billion Adams and Eves.

The original Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. Today's Adams and Eves live in apartments, condos, townhomes, patio homes, etc. God is not making any more land. This is it. Therefore, he or she who controls land has the gold.

I teach real estate agents and lay people how to become rich by getting involved in...
