After a successful career in Silicon Valley that spanned over 20 years, Renée Balcom moved her family to southwest Oregon, and there she found herself on a path that led to healthcare. She found it easy to segue from tech into the healthcare industry and often speaks about the similarities of the two.
While in Oregon, Renée founded and ran a business providing healthcare advocacy and care management services. For almost a decade, Renée and her team worked tirelessly to provide services that included private home care, hospital transitioning, end of life care, as well as care coordination and support for those suffering with mental health issues and chronic illness.
Currently, Renée is the CEO of Renée & Co. In addition to being a proven entrepreneur, Renée is an impassioned author and speaker. Her true passion and mission is to change the cultural narrative about aging to educate and empower her listeners. After working with hundreds of Elders, Renée came to realize that most of the information being provided to us about aging is wrong - most of our beliefs about getting older are wrong – and her mission is to set the record straight.
