Raised in New England, she earned her B.S. with a concentration in human resource management from UMass, her M.A. in marriage and family therapy at UConn, and her Ed.D. through the educational leadership program at the GW. Experienced as a volunteer-leader, she served as PTO President, Girl Scout Leader, and coordinator for her town's recreation soccer league.
