WI, USPatti Plough is an entrepreneur by nature who's established a number of successful businesses throughout her career.
Plough graduated from Gateway Technical College in Kenosha with a nursing degree and then worked for 15 years as a bedside nurse in a variety of settings. She spent time at a remote, 27-bed hospital in Idaho, was involved in recreational therapy in Idaho and eventually transitioned to a traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center in Waterford, WI.
In 1991, she established her first business, Corporate Health Planners, conducting insurance physicals and investigations. At that time, she met Leigh Cord, the founder of Healics, and began selling and servicing his health risk assessment tool.
In 1993, while continuing to lead Corporate Health Planners, Plough founded a second company, Speakers & Events-R-Us, which her daughter now runs.
In 2001, Plough met Michael Naparalla and introduced him to the Healics software product. He began independently selling and servicing the Healics product in the Fox Valley market. When Cord retired in 2011, Plough and Naparalla purchased Healics and became co-CEOs.
Since then, the pair have led Healics to double-digit yearly growth. As CEO of Operations, Plough implemented a continuous improvement and quality control system that contributes to the company's 99% client retention rate.
Plough is also focused on establishing Healics as an employer of choice and has implemented a number of initiatives to grow employees' skills and support a healthy work-life balance.
In 2014, 2015 and 2017, Healics was recognized by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce with a Future 50 award for its rapid growth.
Plough is active locally, serving on the Board of Directors for the Granville BID, MMAC and Succeed Forever Community Transformation. She is also a member of the Council of Small Business Executives and supports a number of local nonprofits including, Make a Wish Foundation, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and A World Without Suicide.
