A TV & Radio Host and Contributor to Forbes and HLN, Dana's authenticity and energy will take your event to the next level. Her keynotes are polished & memorable and as an emcee she is world class.

Dana Barrett is an award winning TV & radio personality, business commentator and social critic known for her smart and engaging interview style and her personal approach to broadcasting. She is currently the host of The Dana Barrett Show, which airs weekdays at Noon EST on Talk Radio 640 WGST and streams live online via iHeart, TuneIn, and other popular audio streams and on video via Facebook. She is also a regular contributor to Forbes and HLN and the former host of Atlanta Tech Edge on NBC's 11Alive. In addition to her work as a radio host, frequent emcee, moderator and keynote speaker, Dana has also found time to have some fun playing a reporter in both TV and feature films. Prior to working in the media full time she has been both an entrepreneur and a corporate executive, working in a variety of industries including publishing, media, and IT.

Dana began her career in the tech sector where she held positions ranging from Installation Representative and Programmer to Vice President of Technology. That experience led her to her first entrepreneurial endeavor, DB Consulting, a technology consulting firm Dana founded in the late 90s, focused on web-based business systems with database heavy backend technology and tight integration to accounting and other integral systems.

As an avid reader and book lover, Dana transitioned her entrepreneurial energy into the retail sector opening Coffee Buy the Book in Roswell, Georgia in 2003. That led to the well-respected book blog and podcast Midtown Review in 2010. And though she has officially moved on from the book biz, Dana still runs one of the largest public book clubs in Atlanta. Dana's (we eat, drink and talk about the) Book Club has over 700 members.

When asked how she transitioned into media, Dana said, "Radio and television have always been a part of what I do. I started working in radio on the side over twenty years ago, so it made sense to keep it going and use it to promote my bookstore and website with author interviews and then from there to transition into medial full time."

In between her successes, Dana says she has been "down-sized", "in-transition" and "under-employed" and believes that failure is just a pit-stop on the road to success. Originally from Philadelphia, Dana is a graduate of Cornell University, a member of the President's Council of Cornell Women and the Atlanta Press Club. She has served on the Board of Atlanta's Best & Brightest Places to Work, and as a volunteer for PowerMyLearning, the Book Festival of the MJCCA, and PADV (Partnership Against Domestic Violence). Dana is a breast cancer survivor, and in 2016 became the official spokesperson for TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. In addition to all of that, Dana is proud to have raised her now full-grown daughter as a working single mom.
