Ken is a former Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver on the practice squad and professional lacrosse player who has shared his story of overcoming substance abuse and alcoholism with over 250,000 people 

Former Buffalo Bills practice squad wide receiver was a heavily recruited high school athlete. He also had a brief professional lacrosse career. He received scholarship offers from many division 1 football and lacrosse programs. he became addicted to opiate painkillers. Ken still managed to play both sports in college starring in lacrosse at Nazareth College and football at St. John Fisher College but his addictions worsened. After college Ken turned pro in lacrosse starring for the Rochester Greywolves and a member of the Buffalo Bills practice squad, all the while struggling with his addictions which now included opiates, xanax, cocaine, alcohol and marijuana. Ken then became a successful owner of several businesses all of which he eventually lost to his struggles with drugs and alcohol. After several DWI's Ken was sentenced to state prison where he immediately became addicted to heroin. After his release Ken became homeless in his hometown of Syracuse NY sleeping in abandoned building. Miraculously 6 months later Ken got clean after praying and calling a friend who had recovered from drug and alcohol addiction. After getting sober Ken formed a non-profit "There and Back Inc." Where he travels to schools and communities across the country. Ken has told his story of addiction at over 400 venues and to over 250,000 people. Sober 5 years now he is a successful business owner and spiritual teacher. His story is about never giving up and Beating the odds to overcome any obstacles to success. Ken is an expert on alcholism/drug abuse, spirituality, motivation, attitude and image/self esteem.
