AUK, NZLeonie Freeman is an Auckland based speaker, author, business futurist and entrepreneur. She is a leader regarded as one of New Zealand's leading business women.
She was the visionary who in 1996 created one of the first commercial websites launched in New Zealand now known as realestate.co.nz.
Her next business venture involved the purchase of a small run-down residential property management business. Leonie totally transformed this business, growing it exponentially and developed processes and procedures unparalleled in the NZ industry before selling this in 2007.
After a well-earned break, Leonie focused on making a contribution in the public sector. She brought an entrepreneurial and visionary approach to solving major property development and housing issues for Council and Central Government.
In 2011 Leonie was appointed to the board of the listed company – Goodman Property Trust and is a member of Global Women – a collaboration of New Zealand's most influential female leaders.
In 2016 she launched a philanthropic and independent initiative with the sole purpose of solving Auckland's housing crisis called thehomepage.nz and was the Chair of the recent Auckland Housing Summit. (www.aucklandhousingsummit.co.nz)
She has been a regular and sought after print, radio and TV commentator.
Leonie has recently been awarded the Property Institutes Life membership and the Supreme Property Award for 2017 and was a finalist in the recent Westpac Women of Influence Awards
