Terrell Fletcher
Terrell Fletcher is a former NFL running back turned author and motivational speaker residing in San Diego, California. An ordained pastor with a Bachelor's in English Literature and a Master'sdegree in Religious Studies, he now leads City of Hope International Church in San Diego and shares his message and hope and transformation around the world.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Terrell grew up following a passion for sports and the dream of playing at the highest level of professional football. After being awarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, he went on to lead his team to the 1994 Rose Bowl championship, and won the 1995 Outback Bowl's MVP honor.
Drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1995, Terrell went on to play eight years with the team, becoming a fixture in the southern California community in the process. He served as Chaplain for the Chargers organization, chairman/spokesman for Junior Achievement USA®, San Diego County Adoptions, and frequently made meals to feed San Diego's homeless. Through his foundation, Destiny-N-Me, he offered annual college scholarships to deserving teens and hosted assemblies aimed at pairing troubled teens with positive role models.
While his on-field success was the result of true dedication to excellence, his journey was not without adversity. Following his football career, Terrell found new purpose in life as an author and speaker, seeking to expand his influence and inspire others to positive personal transformation.
In the fall of 2016, Terrell released The Book of You, a motivational/inspirational memoir detailing his journey to significance in life after football, and how others can find their own meaning. Its message of transformation and discovering one's life purpose has inspired thousands to self-improvement and greater self-understanding.
Today, Terrell is a public speaker and author with a positive, inspiring message for youngemerging thinkers, community influencers, and business executives. He seeks not only to inspire but also deliver practical tools for sustained empowerment. He has shared his message of transformation and hope in many parts of the world, including Nigeria, Uganda, and Belize and looks forward to continuing to his outreach across America and around the globe.
