Doug and Polly own all or part of a dozen businesses, including Gather, Richmond's premier coworking spaces that provide more than 250 small businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs a community in which to grow. Recently, they have expanded their business endeavors into real estate development and currently own, with partners, several residential, commercial and mixed-use building in Richmond.
In addition to their speaking engagements, Doug and Polly share their knowledge in the weekly columns they write for the Richmond Times-Dispatch/Richmond.com and Entrepreneur.com. They have also written for CFO Magazine, the Huffington Post, Fox Business News, CNN Money and many others.
Together they have also written two books. Let Go to Grow: Why Some Businesses Thrive and Others Fail to Reach Their Potential was named best business book of 2011 by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), and Guaranteed Access: How to Get Clients without Selling was published in 2015.
