I know this isn't your first rodeo. I know you have had other speakers, programs, events, consultants, seminars and workshops and nothing seems to last longer than a day or two after the event. Lots of things promise the world and give you lights, flash and sizzle and yet no real substance.

So what makes me different from everybody else?

It's simple really...
I do things that matter, for reasons that matter, with people that matter!!!

Every day I help leaders, owners and entrepreneurs to maximize success and accelerate growth in their teams and organizations. People become aware, intentional and accountable for their behaviors, which in turn delivers better, stronger, and faster results.

How in the world did I end up doing this?

It's no secret that massive results come from massive efforts! I started my leadership and entrepreneur journey at the age of 7, while living in a rundown trailer park in a rural farming community in California. My dad passed away and I saw my mom go from working 3 jobs just to support her 3 boys, to owning her own successful printing business, something relatively unheard of in those days.

As a kid, I took every chance I could to try my hand at all different kinds of entrepreneurial opportunities. I sold newspapers, did mobile oil changes on cars, collected and traded stamps and coins, started a lawn and shrub business, and taught myself how to carve wood. The highlight of my High School days was that I had the honor to be a Rotary International Exchange Student to Mexico. What a fantastic experience to get to live in another country, taking classes in a foreign language!

After high school, I went into the US Navy as I had a strong sense of patriotism and pride in my country. I also started learning what effective leadership looked like. It was amazing how the Navy took a bunch of raw recruits (or "maggots" as we were so lovingly known as) and transformed us into mighty warriors and leaders. I attended and completed 17 different schools and programs in the Navy and served under some of the most incredible leadership ever!

After the Navy, I went on to become a seasonal firefighter with the US Forest Service, then on to a highly successful career in Business Intelligence Software with world class companies like Speedware, Business Objects and IBM Cognos. My roles and responsibilities grew from a Pre Sales engineer to Area Manager and eventually Director of Pre Sales Teams. I have also held roles as an IT Director, Interim CIO and Vice President of Accessory Sales. Each and every day, I learned something new about the strengths and characteristics of what makes an effective leader in real life!

In 2002, I decided to start my own Business Intelligence consulting business and after a bumpy start, I learned how to deliver real results and real success to my customers. I learned how to effectively build leaders, how to deliver lasting value, and how to truly increase the influence of my clients. I also learned that not all people are honest and had several business partnerships go south. At the same time, I learned that my past does not define me and that my "black belt" in life and business required me to keep getting back up and working harder, working smarter and to be happy, yet never content.

From growing up poor in a trailer, to now working with world leaders, small business owners, and major corporations, I get it...I know what it takes to be successful and get real results. I am a successful entrepreneur, a former corporate executive with several large companies, a US Navy Vet, and a minister.

My endeavors have taken me to 65 countries sharing powerful leadership and life changing truths with tens of thousands of people. Whether working with corporate clients, sharing insights with powerful world leaders, speaking to college students, or doing a Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, my mission and commitment to you are simple and straight forward...

I live to motivate, equip and transform people in the areas of effective leadership and influence.
