She is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions—including the Heideman Award from Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Jewel Box Theatre Prize, an Emmy nomination for her story contribution to a CBS after school special and a two-time Writer's Digest Stage Play Competition top ten winner. Her plays have been produced throughout the country. Her short films have been official selections at a number of festivals, garnering two Audience Awards and one Jury Award. Her poetry has been published in numerous journals and magazines.
