Michelle Porcelli is an award-winning author, educator, TEDx speaker, and licensed counselor who helps audiences build resilience, regulate emotions, and rediscover joy at work and at home.


She is the President of Uplift Works Foundation, where she teaches practical, research-based strategies that make communication clearer, stress lighter, and human connection stronger. Michelle is known for helping educators and corporate teams become comfortable with DIScomfort—tackling burnout prevention, retention, emotional intelligence, and healthy communication with humor, warmth, and real-world tools people actually use.


Michelle has written and instructed courses for BYU Independent Study and has been a featured speaker for TEDx Salt Lake City. She holds undergraduate degrees in Health Education and Social Science from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix.


Having traveled globally to speak to both youth and adult audiences, Michelle brings a relatable, down-to-earth style that leaves people feeling seen, encouraged, and empowered to succeed at work, in family life, and beyond.


She is an award-winning sweet-chili maker, an enthusiastic baker of chocolate chip cookies and homemade bread, and proudly lives in Utah with her five children, two grandchildren, and one very patient husband.
