Dan Black
My professional experience has been working with youth and young adults. I have been a drug and alcohol rehab Case Manager and also a Behavior Specialist for foster kids. I have an Associate's degree in Theology and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development.
My personal experience has been as a volunteer youth leader for over 5 years and I currently serve at the young adults group at the church I attend. During this time I have lead ministry groups, delivered speeches, mentored, lead teams of volunteers, and counseled youth.
When I was 19 years old a friend and myself where driving from Portland Oregon to Seattle Washington. While on the 3 hour trip my friend played a John C. Maxwell leadership lesson. Listening to the leadership lesson sparked my interest and passion for the topic of leadership. Since that time I have read countless books, attended conferences and availed myself to many different blogs to learn all I can about leadership. My personal growth has allowed me to move into different leadership roles within my church and career.
Since then I have moved to San Diego California with my wife to be closer to family. While living in San Diego we had our first child (A boy). We also joined a local church and I still have a passion to write and learn about leadership.
