• For two years, he has been a National Finalist for the Face of Diversity and was the winner of the award in 2017, representing the state of Arizona. This selection was made by the National Restaurant Association in Washington DC, representing the interests of 14.3 million workers.

• He is actively involved with Alliance Clubs International, Sister Cities Program, Kiwanis Clubs, Project Humanities, Arizona Restaurant Association, and the Tempe Community Council.
