BC, CANADADeborah works with forward-thinking leaders who want to shift to a more positive, learning culture that attracts and retains the employees and customers they want. She brings with her a wealth of evidence-based tools that can begin a positive culture shift in your organization.
Deb is a master at creating and executing on a vision, and helping others to create and execute on theirs to create workplaces full of possibilities and potential. When working with teams, she creates a safe environment and sincerely values those involved. She has moved teams from chaos to action.
Deborah has the expertise to assist leaders in developing a psychologically healthy workplace, and was one of the first 20 consultants in Canada, hand-picked to become a CMHA Certified Psychological Health & Safety Advisor.
She works from a transformational leadership perspective using a vision-focus versus a problem-solving approach, with the understanding that it is the culture that has to shift before any meaningful change can occur in the workplace.
Early in her career, Deborah worked in many organizations that took the opposite approach, which led her to know there had to be a 'better way to do business.' This resulted in her developing and leading Canada's premiere conference on workplace health - "The Better Workplace Conference" for 17 years.
Deborah's work is inspired by hundreds of thought-leaders that she has brought together each year for The Better Workplace Conference to share the latest thinking on workplace health. She has distilled this vast body of expert knowledge on shifting workplace culture for the better, how it benefits the organization and the individuals who work there, and how it will enhance any other strategy or program that is developed. This, combined with her own leadership experience and success in community engagement is the material of her speaking, consulting, coaching and forthcoming book on practical tools for transformative workplace change.
"If you know deep down that your workplace could be a better place to work, then let's see how to make that happen!"
