Discover how a focus on what is right, instead of what is wrong, can accelerate your performance and that of your team.

Barbara Stewart is the founder of Accelus Partners, LLC based in Houston, Texas. As a coach and speaker, Barbara works with the owners and leaders of small and mid-sized firms on business strategy and team development using a strengths-based approach. A focus on professional and personal development allows her to support business leaders as they take their companies, employees and themselves from good to great.

Barbara began her career as a financial planner, seeking to help individuals realize their goals through smart financial planning. Working in boutique firms to large corporations in Houston, Tokyo, and Hong Kong developed her professional polish, communication and networking skills. Along the way, she earned her CFP® certification and started her own financial planning firm in Tokyo specializing in Expatriates.

In 2006 she sold her financial advisory business to a boutique wealth management firm joining them as a Senior Financial Advisor and working in her core strength of client relationship management. Four years later, a desire to help her executive clients at a deeper level lead her to explore and then transition to coaching, moving once again into the entrepreneurial realms. Her 20 plus years of experience as a financial advisor and small business owner provide her with a unique perspective as she helps clients work smarter, accelerate performance and enjoy a higher quality of life.

Barbara earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. She is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association (NSA). She served as Chair of Community Outreach for the ICF Houston Charter Chapter in 2015 and 2016, and is President-Elect for 2017. When not working with clients and their teams, Barbara unwinds by training with her horse Usache or fishing the saltwater bays with her husband Ed.
