ON, CANADAJames (Jim) Dunn retired in 2006 as an educator from the York Catholic District School Board in Ontario, Canada after 35 years in education. During this time, he held the position of classroom and vocal music teacher, a school administrator as well as Religious Education and Family Life Consultant for ten years with both the York Catholic and Toronto Catholic District School Boards. He retired from a short second career after four years as Manager of Spiritual Care with the Archdiocese of Toronto. Jim is now a team member of the Office of Formation at the Archdiocese's pastoral centre. He has facilitated many adult formation and inspirational programs in locations across the greater Toronto area. He holds a Master's degree in Religious Education from St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. Married for 35 years, Jim and his wife Patricia, have two grown children. Jim believes that the secret to becoming one's best self is to continually climb higher to reach purposeful professional and personal goals. This is ongoing and continues into the second half of life, a time when many feel that there is nothing more that they can learn or even offer. Humor and creative ways of presentation engage his many audiences as Jim continues to spread the message of optimism and hope for the future.
