Spencer Horn was the highlight of our 2025 OpEx Summit. I was given an opportunity to hear Spencer Horn (Altium Leadership) speak at the Sioux Falls PMI Summit. The way Spencer provided the information was phenomenal and helped me to see how I could better communicate with my teams. As the VP of Technology for PMI Houston Chapter, I first heard Spencer speak at the PMI LIM (Leadership Institute Meeting) in San Diego and was blown away by his keynote speech. Recently I was a student of Spencer Horn’s Communicate with Impact and Lead with Impact classes. I have been in customer relations/marketing and communication for almost 30 years. About 15-years ago I was a student in a marketing class when the instructor explained that he had traveled the world speaking to many prominent world leaders. Throughout the instructor’s travels he discovered that the common problem amongst world leaders was the lack of communication- with the problem ever increasing. This problem exists more so today and is far more prominent. With the lack of communication, how do you accomplish any sort of conflict resolution? We spend two to three seconds interacting in videos. And yet violence across the globe is worse now than ever. Spencer Horn’s classes taught me that we are all different in our styles of communication with the best-known explanation due to our experiences. Now I won’t give away everything I learned- you will need to take the class. I will just say that how I approach a conversation these days is with a lot more patience- AND exercising my commitment, because of Spencer’s class to “practice the pause”. The webinar by Spencer Horn provided insight on the importance of positive thinking during challenging times. The examples and activities set the stage for improving awareness and mindfulness towards self and others. Amazing! Yes, this is what comes to my mind every time I attend the session of Spencer Horn. What an amazing speaker he is. For a professional development session for the education industry in Pakistan, we were arranging a session and Spencer's name came into my mind. But I was skeptical as we were to do the session in our morning in Pakistan which is late night in the USA for him. So he might say no to the session. But after all, he is Spencer! He graciously accepted the invitation and conducted the session at his mid night on mental well-being during the challenging time of Covid which was really appreciable. The presentation, content, and the way he emotionally connected with our community during the session on the other side of the world is highly commendable. Spencer Horn was a speaker at the 86th PMI Bulgaria Chapter Monthly Meeting that happened on 26 of March 2021. The announcement of the event attracted many people. The Webinar had more than 160 participants. Spencer did a great interactive session where all participants were invited to participate. I would like to share a brief letter of gratitude to Mr. Spencer Horn for the inspirational keynote speech that he presented to our management team a few weeks ago. The setting was absolutely perfect! We overlooked the ocean at the Fairmont in Mayakoba, Mexico, while enjoying the ocean air in an open room setting. I challenged Spencer to speak on teambuilding with an emphasis on personal responsibility. I was certain that Spencer would be a dynamic speaker, and certainly took the challenge head-on! Spencer did a great job of giving our group insight on the challenge of "taking ownership".
