ON, CANADAChris Lewis served in all ranks and various roles across Ontario, Canada as a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from 1978 until spring 2014, when he retired having serving almost 4 years as Commissioner. The OPP is an internationally respected police service of over 9,000 members, having a budget of approximately $1 billion.
Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Chris is a Commander of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces. He served in a variety of operational and command positions in his lengthy career, including tactical operations; field operations; major and organized crime investigations; and held multi-year secondments to both the RCMP and the Ontario Solicitor General's office. He is a graduate of the FBI's National Academy Program and the FBI's National Executive Institute.
Chris still lectures across North America on a variety of leadership and policing issues. He recently finished writing a book on leadership, entitled: Never Stop on a Hill, which he hopes to have published in the fall of 2014.
