Burleson Seminars is the private coaching division of Burleson Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry. Our coaching clients throughout North America visit us in Kansas City, Missouri for practice management, custom-marketing plans, staff training and master-mind meetings. Dr. Dustin Burleson, Dr. Amy Burleson and Amy Roberts offer customized practice analysis and integration of proven marketing strategies to build the practice of your dreams. Your affiliation with Burleson Seminars is by invitation only, as we accept a limited number of clients each year. We make more money "doing what we teach" than "teaching what we teach." All proceeds from Burleson Seminars support The Rheam Foundation for Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics - providing cleft care to families in need.

Our Story
I was born into a family of dentists (twelve, to be precise) and worked in marketing during college, then general dentistry and finally the specialty of orthodontics. My wife Amy also grew up with dentistry in her blood. Her father is a retired general dentist. Amy completed a specialty residency in pediatric dentistry and spends most of her time raising our three sons, Sam, Will and Ben. They are all under the age of 5. You can imagine who has a harder job.

Growing a practice "from scratch" in a highly competitive area (with a dental school and no other large city within 2 hours of Kansas City) wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done. The first 12 months, I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Frustrated and working 6 days per week with patients and doing my administrative tasks on Sundays, something had to give.

I relied on my family business experience and marketing background to grow the business aggressively, but working with me wasn't fun. I was stressed to the max, running staff through the practice like a revolving door and wondering when I would finally start taking home a real paycheck.

In 2009, I became serious about applying tested marketing principles in order to grow the business and provide better care for my patients. We invested in staff training, our marketing results went through the roof and before I knew it, I was running one of the most-successful orthodontic practices in the country and making significant contributions to our community, our patients and the lives of our staff members. Today, our practice donates more to charity and staff bonuses than we used to collect in yearly gross revenues. We see more new patients in one month than we used to see in a year and our appreciation for our patients and relationship with our staff members has changed dramatically. I still pinch myself daily to make sure it's real.

As a result of our tremendous success, our phone rings off the hook with requests from doctors all over North America who want to come to my practice and "see how we do it." In addition to my faculty appointments and relationships with pediatric dental and orthodontic residents, I teach practice management seminars and technology courses throughout the country. In 2011, we started allowing doctors to visit our offices for a consulting fee and learn how we've massively implemented successful business concepts, marketing strategies, and staff-training programs to grow our practice to astronomical levels.
