Extremely Rare & Raw Motivation...Inspiration at its Best!

Megan Meier of Missouri committed suicide three weeks before her fourteenth birthday.  Her suicide was a result of cyber-bullying through social networking as well as self-esteem issues regarding her weight.  Megan's hurt and frustration spiraled.  Her emotional limitation had been reached and she probably felt like there was no other way out.  Megan was and is not alone in this war on cyber bullying, depression and suicide. Megan's story should be heard over and over and over until a ground-shaking impact is unleashed.  How effective would it have been to know what to do as a community and take immediate action?

Lifesaving.

Tammy Jo's life mission to educate and empower the parents, families, teachers and communities of the Megan's in the world through thought-provoking discussion, keynotes and workshops on suicide prevention, emotional recovery, personal responsibility and confidence training.  She is the leading authority on these issues based on unprecedented experience working with youth who have been bullied, abused and put away.  Her experience with youth who have committed extremely violent crimes as a result of their abuse is rare and harrowing.

Tammy Jo was born in Akron Ohio.  Unfortunately, she did not grow up there.  Instead, she was sentenced to juvenile life in an all-girl facility in Delaware Ohio.  As a child Tammy Jo was also a victim of bullying, sexual molestation and sexual assault from a small child through her adolescence.  She suffered from severe depression, nightmare and anxiety disorders.   Her attempted suicide in efforts for her family to hear her cry went wrong when she shot and killed her mother instead.  She was 12 years old.

When Tammy Jo was released from the juvenile facility where she was sentenced to juvenile life, she had no idea what survival was as an adult.   Being very unsure of herself as a woman and trying the party life for a little while something tapped her on the shoulder and called her to

BE more. DO more.

As she grew into an adult, Tammy Jo learned the long term effects of bullying and abuse but was very ill-prepared to move forward with her future confidently until her spiritual father and mother, Dr. David C. Forbes Jr.  and Dr. Tracy Forbes as well her adopted mother and a small group of dynamic leading ministers, began to take an active role into walking alongside of her to coach and love her.  Tammy Jo began to piece her life together beginning with taking personal responsibility and getting rid of the victim and institutional mentality.

Tammy Jo's experiences are unmatched and verified through the phenomenal character and personality that was created during her struggles.  She gathered what she now calls the "Fundamental Survival Skills for Life Starting with DECISION" and began to grow and evolve as the powerful influence she is today.   Her past is very real, but the end product is what she chose to become.

How powerful is that? ---
But wait! There's more...

Despite being bullied and teased for being of a darker skin, wearing glasses and reporting a sexual assault in middle school-Tammy Jo graduated from a modeling school where she learned confidence, femininity, make up and modeling which landed her modeling gigs with Revlon, Gillette Venus, Axe, Hasbro, Marlboro, José Cuervo and many more.  She has also had the opportunity to be a part of two major motion pictures and a well-known TV court show.

In addition to that despite spending her adolescence in a juvenile facility for girls and thus seemingly under qualified-Tammy Jo has had the opportunity to possess an 30,000 ft. office in the clouds as a flight attendant, work at one of the major religious television stations, interned at a local television station in Columbus, Ohio and went on to work in one of the top ten news markets in the US as a new broadcast school graduate.  When she speaks of these unconventional and highly sought after opportunities, she says that they were never designed to be careers but high level learning curves.  Her creativity and authenticity is addictive when she enters a room.

She calls herself "confident beyond measure and unmovable humbled" and her Christian Faith is non-avoidable in any conversation.

"I want to give people who feel like there is no way...a different route and those who feel like its over-reassurance and faith.  In my own self I'm no one special, In God-I am a lethal weapon to the enemy"

...Not bad for a middle school ugly duckling and juvenile delinquent.
