Microbiologist, author of The Germ Code

Author of the forthcoming book The Germ Code, Jason Tetro speaks about healthcare and personal health, mixing pop culture and healthy living references to help us understand the world before us.  Claims the future is in germs.  All around us.  Tetro was a microbiologist at the University of Ottawa. He’s known for his media interviews as ‘the germ guy’ for his engaging discussions about the pros and cons of germs and how we should handle them. He uses how germs work together for good and bad and what we can learn about these relationships and use them to enhance patient safety,  help reduce costs, and even on how to be better work partners by using our strengths to work towards common results. The Germ Code is a fascinating journey through an unseen world, an essential manual to living in harmony with germs.  The book will be released in Nov. 2013.

“[Jason is] without doubt a terrific presenter of complex science information and extremely knowledgeable in the field. It’s always especially gratifying to hear from scientists who are interested in pursuing further a career in science communications. There just aren’t enough people like [Jason] to turn to in Canada – so I really appreciate where [he is] coming from.”
