Cherilynn Stone
Cherilynn Stone is a long time Alaskan, not born but raised, now raising five children of her own.
Dean and Founder, Relationship Marketing Academy
Her professional background began as an entrepreneur, starting several businesses in her youth. She worked in network marketing in the late 80′s and in the early 1990′s she owned and operated “Premier Limousine Service”.
When the failing market forced the business to close, she turned to real estate, maintaining a license for seven years.
Her life’s goal was to be her own boss, make her own hours, and have the freedom to live life on her terms. For instance, raising her own children,
and being able to be there for them anytime without having to ask someone else
for time off. So far, the businesses she was in allowed her time to do just that. However, she was looking for something else.
In 2001, she caught the Internet Marketing “bug” and began to teach herself through trial and error. Trying to integrate Internet Marketing with Real Estate proved frustrating as she was a bit ahead of her time compared to her colleagues. They could not understand the very real fact that a new breed of
home-buyer was emerging who had no problem viewing homes on websites, via virtual tours, and making buying decisions on the spot.
In 2006, after a painful, major life change, she realized Internet Marketing was her passion, not real estate, and dove into it with both feet. Over the years, as she painfully pieced together her life, she learned what worked and what didn’t, at great expense, both emotionally and financially. Later, she receive college level, intense training which did wonders to both confirm what she knew and fill in the gaps.
In 2008, having a personal endearment to small business owners and entrepreneurs, armed with specialized expertise, she went back to her entrepreneurial roots and started a consulting/coaching company to help them weed through the Internet and capitalize on this new way that business is being conducted.
Since 2009, she has been speaking on Internet Marketing, Social Media, Blogging, Search Engine Traffic, Email Marketing and more. This is an effort to dispel common myths, calm fears, and acknowledge and alleviate the frustrations many business owners have concerning their web work and online marketing.
She began speaking for free at a local library. Also, she volunteers at her local YWCA,
teaching classes to new business owners and low income women, who
have been through similar struggles as she. Women with an entrepreneurial spirit who want to write their own future and raise their children on their terms.
Currently, as Dean and Founder of Relationship Marketing Academy, she conducts her own weekly trainings, and is invited to speak to various business groups around Anchorage.
Giving back to her community. She and her children volunteer
their time and offer donations to various non-profit organizations including, A.W.A.I.C (Abused Women’s Aid In Crisis) and The Mother Lawrence Foundation. They’ve also taken on yet another non-profit dear to their hearts, Kids Kitchen.
The Academy also offers scholarships to qualifying students so that they can gain
marketable skills to get back up on their feet securing better jobs or succeeding
in business.
It brings her great delight to educate and equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to grow their businesses using these strategies.
It brings her even greater joy to bring hope into the lives and businesses of women entrepreneurs (and men) who are on the verge of giving up on their dreams.
She knows how difficult it is to start and run a business, and how expensive advertising can be. The strategies that she teaches offer business owners highly effective, extremely inexpensive avenues to build relationships world wide.
Using customized systems of blogging, social media and email marketing, they are able to dominate in search engines, establishing and broadening the reach of their brands, generate new leads, customers and clients and open up new revenue streams.

How Can Video Enhance Small Business Blogs?
In my workshops and trainings, I teach people how to create a presence online that causes them to dominate in search engine listings. This domination gives them better page rank, which gives them more website traffic. Because of the worldwide popularity of online videos, a few years ago, Google bought YouTube, making YouTube the 2nd. largest search engine. Google recognized that a huge percentage of searchers prefer to get the information they are looking for via video over...
