AB, CANADAJon Jon Rivero is an award-winning director, producer, actor, martial artist, musician, and occupational therapist. He was named TOP 40 UNDER 40 by EDify Magazine and has been nominated for numerous 2021 ROSIE AWARDS for his projects in documentary and children's films & TV. Jon Jon has been featured on national and international broadcasting programs such as CBC's Now Or Never and APTN's Queen Of The Oil Patch. His film, BALIKBAYAN: From Victims To Survivors, won AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE at the 2020 Edmonton International Film Festival and BEST DIRECTOR AND BEST FEATURE at the 2020 Asian Cinematography Awards. He is co-author of the internationally acclaimed children's book My Name Is Trauma and a certified trauma specialist. As a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, Jon Jon believes in serving others through the power of storytelling to "use what we've got and discover that we've got more than we know".
