Shemeka Brathwaite, MSEd is a leadership productivity expert, keynote speaker, and coach. After spending over a decade in adult and higher education, Shemeka Brathwaite established her own virtual training academy for purpose-driven leaders. She is often invited by organizations, associations, and educational institutions to provide inspiring programs on productivity, leadership, and executive presence. Her immersive training programs help professionals learn how to implement new systems that streamline the demands on one's time, so they can achieve more at work, increase their influence, and live intentionally.
Her energetic messages are the result of her background as a spoken word artist. She has performed in open mic venues such as the Nuyorican Poets Café, The Afrikan Poetry Theater, The Poets' House, and in the choreopoem stage play "The Poets' Testimony." Her award-winning poem "Virtuous Woman" is published in the academic anthology entitled Our Stories, Ourselves: The EmBODYment of Women's Literacy which is included in her poetry album "Roses From My Garden Vol. 1".
Her latest projects include being the host of the "Productive Presence Podcast with Shemeka Brathwaite" and author of the forthcoming book Productive Presence: A Woman's Guide to Leveraging Time, Making an Impression and Leaving an Impact."
Shemeka holds a Master's in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from Syracuse University. Shemeka completed Harvard University's Women in Education Leadership certificate program and is also a certified life coach through New York University. Currently, Shemeka is a doctoral student in the Community-Based Leadership program at the College of Staten Island.
