She is best known for helping the public sector implement programs that not everyone in a community may want - or want to pay for – from mandatory recycling programs to privatizing seniors care.
With a passion for speaking and training, Jan is a sought-after presenter, working with both the public and private sector to help them engage their communities in a range of programs - from recycling to referendums. She specializes in providing communications, messaging and media training, putting her 25 years of public relations experience into action, having held key positions at the Regional District of Central Okanagan, Interior Health and the Insurance Corporation of BC. She's a co-founder of the BC Local Government Management Association's E-learning webinars, has taught citizen engagement at the University of Alberta and holds a Masters in Communications.
