Chris Meyers Moore
Chris Meyers Moore is recognized as a standout in sales. Advertising Age Magazine named her one of the “100 Top US Sales People.” Glamour Magazine called her one of the Top Ten Working Women in America. Media Decisions Magazine put her on the cover. Her company was recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners as one of the Top 10 Women Owned Businesses in Michigan. She is listed in Marquis Who’s Who and Who’s Who in American Business.
Chris has long been known for her creativity. One outstanding example dates from her first job in the PR and Special Events department of Hudson stores in Detroit. She got the store world-wide recognition by setting a Guiness Book of Record with the world's largest apple pie.
From Hudson Chris was recruited by General Motors. In a short time, she become the highest ranking female executive in the global auto industry with responsibility for Pontiac's $300 million advertising budget. Then, to everyone’s astonishment, she resigned to start her own media marketing and sales company—in her basement with just one employee—herself.
Working as a single mother she built Laine Meyers Media Reps into one of the leaders in the field. Her all-star client list included CBS, Hearst Magazines, the New York Times, Forbes and more. Chris triumphed in a male-dominated field and Laine Meyers, Inc. became known throughout the U.S. as an incubator of successful women. Today Laine Meyers alumnae occupy top positions in business.
Never one to overlook an opportunity, she launched Corp!, a business magazine focused on Michigan. The magazine was a runaway success becoming the largest circulation monthly in the state. Chris sold the magazine after eight successful years. Corp! is still published.
And now she is working hard to share her blueprint for success.
