Ernie Beltz Jr. has created a life that reflects his belief in the power of hard work and the need for committed public service. He believes that each event in our lives is not only an experience to be learned from, but also an opportunity to transform dreams into reality. In his talks, Ernie shares his experiences and unique outlook on life, encouraging audiences to dream big, work hard, stand up tall, and never give up. Ernie was born and raised in Austin, Texas and is a Marine Corps veteran. Over the course of his career, he has started a number of small businesses, worked with the federal government and ran for U.S. Congress in Texas. Ernie believes in public service, and that as a community anything can be accomplished.
Entrepreneur and Business Owner
When Ernie left active duty in early 2006, started a small business in Austin, Texas. Within the first two years, that business grew and expanded into several other states and was recognized with numerous community and business awards. In early 2012, Ernie founded SemperGROW to offer leadership development, coaching and a variety of management consulting services around the globe. Since founding SemperGROW, Ernie has continued his education and research in areas such as organizational culture, employee engagement, organizational development and diversity and inclusion best practices and programs.
In late 2014, Ernie and his wife, Debbie, founded Little Land Pediatric Therapy & Play Gym -- a cutting edge facility designed to offer a fun-filled play environment for children of all abilities. This business is currently in franchise development and will be offered nationwide.
Marines Corps Veteran
Ernie joined the Marine Corps shortly after the devastating events of September 11th. During his years of active duty, 2002-2006, he was stationed with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Japan and Headquarters Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a result of his efforts in the Marine Corps, Ernie was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, as well as many certificates and letters of commendation.
U.S. Congressional Candidate
In December 2011, Ernie announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress in Texas' 25th Congressional District. He ran a hard-fought campaign to win the 25th District's Republican primary, but was ultimately unsuccessful. Undaunted, Ernie allowed the experience to further his commitment to his community, as well as to teach him powerful life lessons about success and failure. This experience was just another step along Ernie's unique and varied path, and one that has proven to be quite valuable both in allowing him to see the good hearts and willing hands of the people of Texas, but also to teach him firsthand lessons about the electoral process and the power of dreaming big.
Family Man and Globetrotter
Born and raised in Texas, with a short childhood interlude in glitzy Las Vegas, Ernie is blessed to have a close, devoted family. Ernie spends his days working with executives and leaders through his extensive and unique executive coaching and consulting programs and managing the multiple businesses that he has started. He has a passion for service, and strives to help others around him reach their ultimate goals and dreams. When Ernie isn't starting businesses, coaching other business leaders or on the road speaking at events and working with clients, he spends his time with friends and family. Ernie, his wife Debbie and their daughters Emersyn and Lucia reside in Austin, Texas.

Life's Too Short to Be Something You're Not
Turn on a TV, radio, or handheld device connected to the Internet and you’ll be inundated with powerful messages about what you should believe, how you should look, and how you should behave. Even those closest to you have ideas about the kind of person you should be. Intentional or not, the pressure can be intense to conform to everyone else’s idea of who you are rather than following your heart, and being you… the real you. With humor and understanding, Ernie will speak...
Doing the Right Thing Even When it Sucks

In this presentation, Ernie shares his own bumpy road to personal and professional success as an example of how making the right choices, though often not...

Leading From the Front
Leadership is something that we talk about, develop and work to perfect. Life hands us opportunities to set an example and be a leader; we can sit back and wait for someone else to step up to the plate, or choose to lead your life at the front of the pack. Only you can make a real difference. You will impact those around you, and through determination and commitment, you will teach them too. Ernie has experienced this firsthand, first during his time in the Marine Corps and later as a...
Redefining Diversity and Embracing Differences
When we talk about diversity, we often grow leery of the historically loaded issues of race and gender often associated with that term, especially in the workplace. While respecting diversity is important, the current use of the term often stops us from actively pursuing diversity and difference in our own life. In this eye-opening presentation, Ernie discusses the unique power of diversity, and the need to actively seek and embrace it in our daily lives, focusing on the ways that a...
