Jenipher has her own compelling life story of overcoming insurmountable odds. While she has been touched by some of the greatest challenges in life - including political violence, domestic violence, poverty, and grief - instead of being crushed and being a victim, she has emerged with an indomitable spirit and a strong desire to leave this world a better place than when she entered it. This desire led her to leave the corporate world and start her own company.
Jenipher is a results-driven advisor and inspirational speaker. She brings a combination of strong technical expertise, flexibility, creativity, resilience, industry, academic and life experiences uniquely blended and unparalleled by most. She has over 15 years of professional experience including leadership roles in the oil and gas industry and over 5 years teaching university accounting courses as an Instructor, Lecturer and Assistant Professor. She has been an Independent Instructor for CPA, Alberta and has taught Professional Development Courses related to auditing and review engagements. Currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership, she holds a BCOM (Honours in Marketing), MBA, CPA, CMA, and a Diploma in University Teaching. Her PhD research is focused on exploring how emotional intelligence affects the career success of accountants.
She is the founder of Anchored Advisory Services. The company provides motivational speaking services and business training and consulting services that equip leaders with the business management and accounting leadership acumen needed for increased effectiveness.
