Mpho Mpofu is the Managing Consultant of Masutane Consulting Services a Market Research agency based in Johannesburg, South Africa and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The agency is a specialist provider in qualitative research solutions. The key focus is facilitating connections between the Client and the consumer through the mining of insights that provide Clients with emotional platforms that allow for a greater connection between the Client's brand and the consumer.

Mpho's brackground starts in Consumer Relations where her career began at British American Tobacco as part of the South African national Dunhill team responsible for the new look launch and re-positioning of the brand in 2000. This experience sparked a taste and interest in understanding the link between consumers and the brands they interact with. The natural step was to explore the field of Market Research where this curiosity was nurtured and the passion enhanced. She then joined Millward Brown South Africa as a Research Executive exploring both quantitative and qualitative disciplines. A greater interest was developed towards qualitative research as it explored the more emotional platform of Market Research.

After the exploration of Market Research, head hunted by the new owners of Tribute Magazine in 2006, Mpho was pulled in as part of the re-launch team for the magazine. Working as  a Business Development Manager and Market Intelligence Manager, Mpho and her team succefully relaunched Tribute Magazine in style.

A hunger for more, an entrepreneutrial instict, curiosity and a taste for risk eventually pushed Mpho to start her own business in 2007. Masutane Consulting has been succesfully in operation since then.

Mpho Mpofu provides talks and workshops  around Market Research Solutions for Small Business. She further provides training for moderators within the Market Research industry. She is a Unilever accredited moderator herself.

Mpho also works as an MC for corporate and entertainment events. Her love for people and the need to help others within her industry and community has provided a natural progression towards inspiring others. Business experience and life challenges has allowed her the opportunity to speak and inspire others around her. "Failure is only but a word". She's an outstanding inspirational and motivational speaker.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and an Under Graduate Degree - Bachelor of Social Science and Majored in Marketing and Economics.
