Speaking is too! As the youngest of three, I had a built in audience from an early age. I would hold my parents and sisters hostage in our living room while I performed on my "stage" (the fireplace) using the pull chain from the fireplace screen as my microphone. At the early age of seven, I was handed a micropohone at an in studio taping of a game show to tell a joke. The audience's response was life changing. Applause, whistles and cries of "Pay her!" eclipsed everything I had experienced. AND...the pre-show comedian sent out to warm up the audience pulled a five dollar bill from his pocket and gave it to me! My first paid gig!
After years of report cards with straight A's accompanied by a citizenship note from my teacher "If only Libby would not talk so much..." I found my place on the high school speech and debate team. There I crafted my love for talking into a true talent as a debate nerd. My weekends at high school speech tournaments paid off with a UIL scholarship to Texas Tech University where I earned a degree in communication studies. After completing my MA in communication studies at UNT and my PHD coursework in information science, I spent more than 10 years in the college classroom as a professor where I honed my instructional skills.
Five years ago I started my own adventure as a consultant and speaker. My company, Bravo CC has worked with professionals across a multitude of industries. As a speaker, educator, faciltator and coach, I teach people how to be game changers in their profession. From Public Speaking to Social Media, Branding and Marketing--the tools to be remarkable are available and I will teach you relevant and easy to apply tips, tactics and techniques to stand out in a crowded and competitive marketplace.
I believe with a fierce and fiery passion that the way you communicate and tell your story to others will make or break your success trajectory. Today I pride myself on my
