WA, USConfessions & Beliefs:
- I confess that I am ravenous for smart, sophisticated conversations about and with women; deep, sacred, life-changing stuff.
- I confess my oft' frustration with, and sadness over, the ways in which women's stories (particularly the ancient, sacred narratives I love) have too-often been misinterpreted and misaligned – thus causing us to feel the same.
- I believe that when women's stories change, everything changes – philosophies, beliefs, systems, structures, politics, leadership, homes, children, commerce, whole worlds.
- I believe that the world is praying for a deeper, richer wisdom; that this prayer is answered through womens' incarnate brilliance and beauty.
- I confess and believe that the Sacred shows up when I write and speak about these things. And so I do...over and over again.
Speaker. Writer. Storyteller. SacredConversationalist.
You might think that because I have a Master of Divinity degree, work with clients as a Spiritual Director, and am the former wife of a pastor that I have answers about God, an unshakeable faith, and am a devout church-attendee. You'd be mistaken.
I talk about faith because I doubt. I talk about the Sacred and the Divine because I hope. And I talk about all this and then some with you because it matters; because it's the rich and beautiful and messy stuff of a life that oozes authenticity, integrity, strength, and passion.
Expertise. Experience. Education. Lots of all three. But mostly, heart & hope.
I'm trained in both theology and therapy (the M.Div. degree), I'm certified as a Spiritual Director, and I've been doing some form of this "work" (though it feels more like gift and grace) for more than 20 years. Most of all, I'm compelled by the power of women's stories – ancient, sacred ones, to be sure; and yours. Stories need and deserve to be told. They are what invite us into an experience of ourselves that is whole, gorgeous, and beyond-imagination. And through them, we recognize that we are not alone.

(Re)Telling Stories
There are stories...and then there are the way stories are told. The two are not the same and often work at cross-purposes with one another.
By taking a look at a few key, archetypal stories we can see that it has been their way of being told and the ongoing meaning that's been applied that has significantly impacted the world in which we live.
By retelling those stories in a different way - and uniquely through the lens/voice of a woman - everything...
Redeeming Eve. Reimagining Everything
Informed and fueled by theological study, a diverse professional background within (and without) the church, and my own life experiences, I re-imagine the ancient narratives of women in Scripture to redeem the individual and corporate narratives of women today. I believe that how we tell stories - past and present - has the power to change everything at personal, relational, and systemic levels. Not for the faint of heart, I step into oft' taboo topics with courage, grace, and unlimited...
