Alan Cross is an internationally known broadcaster, writer, blogger and speaker. In his 30 years in the music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock, from David Bowie and U2 to Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters.
Alan has been deeply involved exploring the present and future relationships between music, technology and social networking.
Alan is the Senior Program Director for Splice Interactive, the online arm of Corus Radio. Between 2004 and 2008, he was program director of 102.1 the Edge/Toronto and was named Canadian PD of the Year at in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
Alan's acclaimed weekly rock documentary program, The Ongoing History of New Music, debuted in February 1993 and since there, there have over 600 one-hour episodes, all researched, written and produced by Alan. The show is now heard on a dozen stations across Canada and has spun off four books, a weekly national newspaper column, daily podcasts and more than a dozen CD compilations.

It provides music fans new ways to discover music and to recommends music to other fans in innovative ways that merge traditional and new music.
