I'm the Director of Marketing at Satellite Industries. We're a manufacturer and distributor of equipment to the portable sanitation industry. We are a global provider. We operate in over 120 countries. I'm here at the Satellite Women's Conference, where we had over 110 attendees. And we just got out of Crystal Washington's session on the "Future of technology is now." There are a couple of things I want to point out about the event: first of all, we were very excited to have Crystal here. We had interviewed her a couple of times. Some things that struck me during the interview process, which she positively delivered on, were her contagious energy and her style of delivery. She just got right into the meat of the material. There wasn't any fluff, to be honest, and I loved her organization of the presentation in terms of how, hey, here's what we're going to cover. She was very thorough and organized, and she was amusing. She was engaging with the audience, very clearly spoken with a great tone and tempo to the entire presentation. It was a 90-minute presentation, and time just flew by, honestly. Everyone was super engaged. It was definitely a highlight for us. As a closer, it's tough to get your audience up and smiling, laughing, and being engaged. She just had a great style of interaction along with the presentation and got us up on our receipts, so that 90 minutes was not laborious at all. So, we thoroughly enjoyed her. I actually would love to talk to her about some future engagements based on the success of this event. I highly recommend Crystal Washington. You will be satisfied.

I just finished with Crystal Washington. After 90 minutes of awesomeness, we had about 125 women, all business professionals in the room with her. It was the last day of the conference, the last keynote of the day, 90 minutes, and she rocked it. Crystal had people laughing nonstop, listening to her, every word. She had the moving and walking around, and she was super engaging. She never lost control of the audience for a second, and nobody walked out. I highly recommend Crystal Washington at any event, at any time, for any audience. She really did rock it. From a meeting planner's perspective, I couldn't have asked for anyone better to work with than Crystal and her team. They kept me on task. They kept me informed. I never once had to chase after them for a single piece of information. Her subject matter, she knows it, and it was not over anybody's head whatsoever. She educated them, but she never made them feel dumb. They were taking notes, and then she told them not to take notes. She would send them the PDF, but it was amazingly interesting for me as a meeting planner sitting in the back of the room watching the vibe of the audience, watching Crystal perform, and I was happy the whole time. Hi. I am Dave O'Brien. I'm a principal at EVOadvisers, but I'm also the chair of the NAPFA 40th anniversary year conference here in San Diego, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. And Crystal was just a keynote speaker for our second day. And in 12 years of going to conferences and our conferences twice a year, I have never seen a keynote speaker who put forward the level of pre-work and research to really understand our audience or her audience, the way that she did. She got us in a way that I have not seen other speakers who come from outside of our profession. And then she applied what she learned about us to provide education about specific things that we needed to know, which really engaged us, but wrapped all of it in this really fun and entertaining manner that brought everybody in the room into the present. With the theme of Endless Possibilities, the convention offered numerous opportunities for professional development, networking and making meaningful connections for our nearly 3,000 guests ranging from students, early career and mid-level professionals to senior executives. For the latter group, we hosted a number of executive sessions at the convention including the one where you presented on the topic of "Branding Yourself as an Executive in an Increasingly Digital World", which was attended by Pan-Asian c-suite executives, aspiring and current corporate board directors, as well as Chief Diversity Officers (CDOs). We have received nothing but positive reviews for this session. Firstly, the fact that the session was full with standing room space available only, is a testament to the fact that our guests were eager to be part of this session and to learn from you. Secondly, several of our guests and senior leadership mentioned that they left the session energized, informed and equipped with tips on how to leverage social media for greater impact or for newbies, they learned tips on how to take steps to having digital presence in a meaningful way. Thirdly, having copies of your book available was a very nice way to conclude the session as several of our guests showed interested in continuing the learning process from the session by picking up a copy! As we all settle into the 'new normal' and determining the future of events, I wanted to inspire, motivate and encourage my fellow event planners here on the UC Davis campus. I reached out to Crystal for some help! Right away Crystal helped me decide what the challenges were, and how best to guide event planners during these uncertain times. Once we had identified our 'short list' we decided to create a 3-part series for campus planners. We held the 1 st of our 3 events today, and I was blown away! Not only did Crystal knock it out the park with her technology expertise and content. She created an energetic and exciting meeting by including some amazing outside entertainment! An NBA DJ and halftime host, let us in a dance routine and tested our knowledge with a fun and interactive 'Name that Rock Group' emoji game. Crystal also included a LIVE sketch artist, who unbeknownst to the group, was working behind the scenes, using our meeting highlights to create a fun and creative visual that will be shared with everyone after the event. Throughout the short one-hour meeting, Crystal continued to show the group of event planners ways to engage audiences throughout your virtual event. Both during and after the event, I received a lot of kudos and appreciative messages from my colleagues! Guests are looking forward to seeing the group photo we took during the meeting, with the help of an outside photographer Crystal brought in for the event. We were all super excited, and can't wait to see our smiling 'virtual' faces!
