CA, USDr. Drew is an innovative pioneer in the new field of lightning fast grant writing. Outside of California, Dr. Drew has been invited to teach his grant writing fundamentals and intermediate grant writing workshops in Pittsburg, PA in October, 2009. He spoke at the 5th Annual International Civic Education Conference in December, 2009 in Nashville, TN. He appeared at the Neighborhoods, USA Conference in May, 2010 in Little Rock, AR. He was also a featured speaker at the Neighborhoods, USA Conference in May, 2011 in Anchorage, AK.
Internationally, he has been invited to provide his state-of-the-art grant writing workshop in China (2004), Phillipines (2005) and Egypt (2008) and Afghanistan (2008).
In each of his workshops, Dr. Drew personalizes his workbook, class handouts, and presentation to speed up the grant writing process by highlighting the top 10 local foundation funders and the types of projects most likely to be funded in the local area. His presentations touch on all the senses and use music, animation, PowerPoint presentations, humor, role play exercises, props, the Internet, and other tools to create a vivid, memorable and life-changing experience for workshop participants. Dr. Drew also speeds up grant writing by providing participants with links to relevant samples of winning letters of inquiry and winning grant applications. At the root of his presentation is the bold suggestions that grant writing must change to embrace the latest technology needed to speed up the grant writing process. This way, charities will be able to move quickly when funding opportunities suddenly arise.
Dr. Drew teaches his Lightning Fast Grant Writing Techniques as a one to two hour interactive presentation. He is the author of A Really Great Booklet on Grant Writing, The Nine Greatest Pathways for Profiting from Grants, and A Really Great Booklet on Fundraising.
