Empower Women all over the world. I help women climb their own corporate ladder or start their own businesses

I am taking my business acumen and life experiences of climbing the corporate ladder during my 20 years at FedEx Corporation and using it to empower women all over the world. I launched my own consulting company, (thomasinatafur.com), and advise women on how to create their own business, develop their own ideas or move up their corporate ladder.

My areas of expertise stretch beyond supply chain and logistics and include corporate leadership, global communication and negotiations. Besides helping individuals, I help profit and non-profit organizations prepare their female leaders for greater roles.  For example, I was instrumental in helping to create the first FedEx International Women’s Forum, whose mission was to empower women to take on greater leadership and decision making roles within the organization. Because of it’s success it was duplicated in other cities with crowds of up to 500 people.

In addition to empowering women at FedEx, I mentored young female business majors at my alum, the University of Miami. As a give back to my community I am currently mentoring young mothers struggling to provide for their children at Sickle Cell for Families in Need (SCFFN).

I received my MBA in international business from the University of Miami, FL, and will complete my Executive Education Certificate from the University of Pennslyvania, Wharton School of Business, April 2010. I think big and plan to begin my doctorate degree April 2010 with the International School of Management (France), concentration in women’s business issues.

Those who have worked with me usually say I'm focused, passionate, and determined. “Thomasina is an asset to any organization. She gets things done, is extremely insightful, and can relate well with people at different developmental levels. I would have her on my team anytime!”

I have been featured in numerous press releases regarding women starting their own businesses, and mentor programs. To read these articles please see my Press Room tab on my web site.

I am also  a member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), eWomen Network, and The Common Wealth Club. I serve on two boards: the Board of Directors for SCFFN and Alzheimer Day Services (ADS). I am passionate about charities and will occasionally do pro bono work.
