Troy Payne
Troy is an adoptee who as a child, experienced divorce and a life surrounded by alcoholism and drug abuse. Physical and mental abuse from many members of his family lead him into foster care placements during his young teen years. By the time Troy was 16 years old he was living on his own and struggling with the same issues and circumstances he had grown up with his entire life.
Troy certainly knows a thing or two about survival. He attributes his personal growth to the support of great teachers and councilors and enriching school programs that opened his eyes to his true potential. Once he was able to begin overcoming his own adversities and obstacles, he decided that his life's work needed to be helping others who are faced with incredible adversity and help others achieve their goals.
After high school and post secondary, Troy became a Child & Youth Care Worker. The first few years of his career he worked in schools and in a residential treatment center, counseling youth and families, coordinating events, initiatives and camps. Although he had literally worked with hundreds of youth, it still wasn't enough for him. He wanted to connect with and inspire thousands. He decided to take his life experiences, education and knowledge and started his company, Wellness Realization.
The Vision for Wellness Realization is to Encourage, Engage and Empower individuals, to be proactive rather than reactive. How can we stop the cycles of abuse and addictions now instead of having to deal with them later on? How can we encourage, empower and inspire individuals to make healthy choices, to embrace life, to love themselves and those around them? Troy believes he has a good start on the answers to these questions and has been touring ever since.
