Hyrum Smith
Hyrum W. Smith, founder of The Galileo Initiative, is a highly sought after keynote speaker and author. In 1984, he helped create the widely used Franklin Day Planner, and formed Franklin Quest to produce the Planner and train individuals and organizations in the time management principles on which the Planner was based. In 1997 he negotiated the acquisition of Covey Leadership Center, forming Franklin Covey, which continues to be an international leader in leadrship and productivity training.
The Galileo Initiative was founded in 2002 to address two of the key shortcomings Hyrum had noted in his two decades in the training business. Through the trademarked Galileo Reality Model, he wanted to help people and organizations achieve sustainable change. Through Galileo's proprietary training design process, he wanted organizations to have access to training programs that could reflect their unique culture and were tailored to their specific challenges and opportunities.
Hyrum is the author of several nationally published and acclaimed books, including The 10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management, What Matters Most, and, most recently, Home of the Brave.
