June Liggins
June Liggins was about eight years old when she started to experience feelings of hopelessness and despair. In her young mind, she thought that life should be worth living. Based on her observations at the time, most adults were unhappy and she was not interested in becoming part of what she perceived to be the "Living dead." If she continued to live, she wanted to give people hope-she wanted to give them a reason for living. In 1998, she purchased an emerald ring with diamonds as a symbol of her ability to persevere against the odds. It also served as a reminder that she would one day share those things with others.
June is now doing what she imagined as a child. She is a dynamic speaker, minister, and trainer with more than 16-years of experience in the areas of personal and leadership development. With passion, enthusiasm, and candor, she encourages her audience to overcome fear and hopelessness with courage and joy, and to identify and pursue their purpose. Whether in front of a business audience, church group or women's conference, she inspires you to rise to your "a-game".
June began perfecting her skills while serving as a Leadership Development Instructor in the United States Air Force. During her 10-years with the City of Phoenix, she developed numerous training programs and provided consultation services for three departments influencing the professional development of more than 1500 employees. She has also designed and presented training programs for Phoenix residents and facilitated focus groups employing various conflict resolution and strategic planning skills. She is the principal consultant for the JM Consulting Group.
As a licensed minister, she has served the church in many capacities over the last 19-years. She has facilitated and participated in ministry/leadership training, marriage conferences, women's symposiums, and teambuilding summits. June has also spoken at success and leadership conferences and conducted live radio broadcasts.
Ms. Liggins also serves as the President of the Center of Distinction for Personal Growth. The focus of the organization is to help individuals discover, appreciate, and develop the distinctive person God created them to be. The Center of Distinction also seeks to illuminate the minds of people with knowledge and insight that will help them uproot thought patterns that prevent them from realizing their full potential.
Fulfilling another childhood dream, she is now the author of Coconut Run Dun-Inspirational Writings to Help Renew the Passion and Purpose in us all.
June a member of the National Speakers Association and holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Theology. She also holds certifications for the following programs: Interaction Management, Life Orientation, True Colors, and True Love Styles Programs.
