MA, USThe child of a right brain highly creative mother ("What can we make out of that paper towel tube?") and a left brain engineer father (who sent letters with diagrams in them), I like to think I got the best of both of them in me, with "me" filling in the holes and bridging the gaps.
I could go on and on with tales of being brought up constantly involved in some kind of craft project, during the same years of watching engineering movies every night after dinner at one point. I could explain wind shear before I had ever flown in a plane. This did raise me to be very comfortable in both worlds. Both were highly curious which I think is why everything interests me.
Mom was the kind that could look around and pull ideas out of thin air. Dad was very methodical in his thinking. This has given me the ability to connect dots that others frequently cannot even see, and other times think in a flowchart (no really---I realized one day I was doing that.)
Because of all these things people frequently think I go off on tangents. And while it may appear that way (and OK, sometimes it's true), if you stick with me, as one person put it, I always "land the plane". And all the pieces fall into place. Don't worry, sometimes it is a mystery to me how it happens too.

The ROI of You
Even if you are doing a fantastic job, the world is moving too fast to just hope that someone notices. Your job is to make the organization better, but your personal responsibility is to make sure you know HOW TO DO IT and HOW TO SHOW IT.
"I'm Very Busy (Procrastinating) Right Now…"
Why do members of your team procrastinate? And why do YOU procrastinate? We say we want to stop procrastinating, yet it is close to a daily ritual. Even if something is getting done, it is frequently to avoid addressing higher priorities.
No time management class or book will solve the problem until you understand WHY you or your team members are procrastinating.
By attending this session, you will...
3GO2 Words
Did you ever discover the reason you did not get a job, promotion or other opportunity, was because people did not know your greatest strengths? Maybe you always wanted to be the "Go To" person for something that you are very strong in, but no one ever seems to think of you for that particular skill.
Whether people or computers are reading your résumé, assumptions and decisions are quickly made. So you want to make sure everything you are saying and doing hits...
