 Jerry Black, J.D. works with emerging leaders who want to develop themselves and their work teams and with organizations to meet their business goals.  After a corporate law career, he started his own consulting firm, ClientFocus, Inc. in 1992. He has worked with clients in 44 states and Canada with a broad range of both corporate and governmental clients. Some of his clients for major projects include Caterpillar, Chrysler, Philips, Exelon, True Value, Kmart, Sidley Austin, CBOE, the US Dept. of Defense, the State of Michigan, and the Villages of Palatine and Schaumburg, Illinois.

 Jerry can provide experiential learning sessions, individual and team coaching, retreats, and consulting services. A past president of the Illinois Chapter of NSA, his presentation style is most often described as energetic, humorous, and down-to-earth with practical ideas.

 Jerry has been qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator since 1992, and became the first Illinois resident to attain the status of a Master Practitioner in 2009. Solving the mysteries of personality type is his passion enabling others to appreciate their own style as well as learning to recognize and adapt to different personality styles to be more effective in the workplace. He utilizes the MBTI in leadership, communication, coaching, decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution and team building.  Jerry serves on the board of directors for the Association for Psychological Type.

 Jerry is also qualified to administer the  EQ-i2.0 (Emotional Intelligence) ,Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument and the Strength Deployment Inventory
