CT, USAUDIENCES ASK JANET TO SPEAK ON Variations of TWO MAIN TOPICS: 1. Awaken Creativity, and 2. Create Life You Love.
1. "AWAKEN CREATIVITY!"
Audiences of all ages - women, students, professionals and boomers awaken their own creative power when they hear Janet's advice on creativity - Look, Laugh and Let Go! They learn the creative processes of geniuses from Leonardo da Vinci to Virginia Woolf, and Georgia O'Keeffe. They practice visualizing, identify creative strengths, engage in playful exercises like brainstorming, solving puzzles, moving to music. They experience the deep relaxation that invites their inner muse. And they leave knowing the specific attitudes, people and environments they need for continued support of their creative growth.
Participants feel uplifted and empowered to overcome obstacles, shine their light and share their gifts.
2. "CREATE A LIFE YOU LOVE"
Renewed creativity enables audiences to reinvent themselves - at any age. No matter how bleak a circumstance, if we learn from it and see the humor, we can move towards joy.
Participants feel inspired to take action to improve their health, relationships and finances.
Their life is a masterpiece and they are the artist. They see their own lives as canvasses on which to create their dreams.
WOMEN WANT THE BENEFITS of JANET'S SYSTEM
Women, students, professionals and boomers are motivated to fully energize themselves and live well-rounded lives. They learn to envision clearly what they want. With tools in hand, they take specific steps to:
- nourish their bodies and feel more energetic
- increase their creativity
- build confidence doing work they love
- gain financial power
- develop loving relationships
- share their gifts
- connect to nature
- relax and attain spiritual peace
AUDIENCES FEEL UPLIFTED and empowered to overcome obstacles, shine their light and share their gifts.
From Switzerland to China to the USA, for over thirty years, Janet has been teaching what she learned the hard way, helping people achieve their full potential in schools, colleges, museums, associations, government, businesses, art and spiritual centers.
AUDIENCES ARE SURPRISED WHEN JANET REVEALS she was so troubled as a teen that her parents locked her up.
Living in her own apartment at 18 years old in New York City in the turbulent society of the 1960s, watching her family fall apart around her, she foolishly chose to take a psychedelic trip. She almost never returned from that trip. She went on an unexpected journey. On and off for two years, she was incarcerated in hospitals, and imprisoned in a jail cell under protective custody, until she was told by doctors she may never be able to marry, have a child or even hold a job.
WELL, JANET TURNED THINGS AROUND. She healed herself through writing and painting. Within four years of her release she got her full health back, finished her bachelors degree, found her first teaching position and met the love of her life with whom she’s raised an amazing son. She’s been gainfully employed her whole career in various jobs, all related to her passion – art and teaching.
Living in Europe for eight years, she had one-person exhibits in well known galleries in Geneva and Paris. Her book on creative affirmations is now sold on three continents.
AUDIENCES LEARN THE STEPS SHE TOOK TO HEAL. Janet shares the system she developed that will guide you along your own path.
She took two important first steps: She remembered her dreams as a child, the good feelings she enjoyed as an honor student. Second, she realized she had dug part of the hole herself and owned her part. It wasn’t about blame – she forgave herself and others who hurt her. What gave her power was her new attitude: If I broke it, I can fix it!
Clients begin to make better choices. Janet helps them see they are co-creators of their lives. They learn how to gain control of emotions, thoughts, and eating habits; increase energy through body movement and relaxation, be more communicative, loving and creative. And finally to believe in their vision of a happier life and to move confidently in that direction.
AUDIENCES SAY JANET'S UNIQUE APPROACH HELPS THEM.
"She moves her audience" - she customizes so her remarks hit home.
"She's authentic" - she has been walking the talk for many years.
"She's original" - the system she shares really works.
"She gives useful information" - current research and excellent handouts.
"She's colorful" - full of stories, vivid images.
"She's funny" humor and compassion opens people up.
"She gets us involved" - plenty of interaction and activity to reinforce the learning.
"She's inspiring" - motivating people to learn and take immediate action.
CHALLENGING TIMES DEMAND CREATIVE SOLUTIONS.
Concerned about the current health crisis which leads to so many problems: low productivity, high costs, people are feeling sick, lost and out of balance, confused by conflicting pressures, stressed by life style habits that sabotage them. Their hopes of being happy are nearly dashed. Janet helps them create the vision, strategies and solutions to pull themselves back up.
Any powerful country or company in leadership must develop healthy original thinkers to anticipate opportunities in the 21st century. In China it is now educational policy to encourage creative thinking. Janet encountered great success as a guest speaker in October 2009 to develop creativity in university students and faculty in Xi'an China.
Audiences, such as those at her speech in China, get involved. They respond to Janet’s innovative multi-media presentations. In China, for example, she set the stage with a short film she produced, relating directly to the audience and their needs. She involved audiences with images, humor, stories, interactive puzzles, music and movement. Students brainstormed, discussed opinions with each other, learned breathing, relaxation and a yoga posture. They even sang a few English songs.
Students from Shaanxi University, Xian, China respond enthusiastically:
Janet, you are so creative. You lit up the fire of my dream! Bravo. I love you. I will keep going whenever I encounter an obstacle and of course I will follow my dream (to be an actor). - Jack
It was amazing, interesting, meaningful and most helpful. I learned from this amazing lecture that I can seek inspiration everywhere, think out of the box. I don't need to fear failures, just try more times. One thing I will do this week is get a peaceful and quiet attitude. I will challenge myself to find my inner potential. - Xie Fangtang
Relaxed, humorous useful. What makes me most touched is the way she teaches: both sides, interactive. As a teacher in the future, I'd like my class to be active and learn with pleasure. I will try to get noticed, raise questions and take action. This week I will speak out loud when ideas jump up! - Sosowu
People learn to see their whole lives as the canvas on which to paint their dreams.
Janet's vision is broad. As an artist herself, she believes creativity goes way beyond the arts. It is an attitude, an approach that can be used in any field or endeavor - physics, language, medicine, and business. And it can be applied to one's personal life, which is the foundation of success in any arena.
A flower only blooms if the roots are fed. High minded, Janet is also grounded. She believes that in order to flourish you need to nourish yourself and other people. She increases creativity and productivity in her audiences by encouraging them to eat nutritious food, move often, improve communication skills, do work they love (or love the work they do), and take up some spiritual practice that helps them find balance.
